LaMonn Satchell Graduation

LaMonn Satchell recently graduated from the Goodwill Vocational Adjustment/Work Ready program. He is now working with a Goodwill Career Development Specialist to secure a job that is just right for him. LaMonn had some very touching words to say at his graduation: “Well, to be honest, this really isn’t all my doing. I owe it all to my dad. He showed me the value of hard work. He worked really hard and I thank him for it. I didn’t really appreciate what he did for me and my brother, but now that I’m working here and earning an income, I now appreciate what he did.” LaMonn is pictured with Goodwill's Employment and Training Program Manager, George Clark. #goodwillchatt

Dalton Emerging Leaders

Introducing our newest Emerging Leaders Institute graduates! This cohort was celebrated earlier today with a ceremony marking their completion of our ELI program. After six sessions filled with plenty of challenging material, it's safe to say each of these individuals is even better equipped to serve the Greater Dalton area and beyond. This was a great group, and it's been an honor growing with each of them throughout the program. We'll see you all in LDW soon, right? Shoutout to Dr. Stephani Womack, Gita Harden, and Lynn Osborne for keeping this ship sailing smoothly, plus the many, many volunteers it takes to pull it off.
