The COVID-19 pandemic has left millions of families with a loss of employment income unlike anything we’ve experienced since the Great Depression. Individuals in low wage jobs, those with a high school education or less, women, and individuals who identify as Black or Latinx have disproportionately felt this burden due to reduced work hours, lowered wages, furloughs and layoffs.

Too many of their jobs did not came back, and when opportunities did became available, these job seekers needed new skills to earn a living, advance their careers and support their families.

When you donate new and gently used items, your local Goodwill sells them in stores and online using the revenue generated to provided valuable employment training and job placement services for people in your local community.

HOW TO GET TAX DEDUCTIONS FOR YOUR DONATIONS

When you drop off your donations at your local Goodwill, you’ll receive a receipt. Hang on to it! You can claim a tax deduction for donations that are in good condition.
