The Goodwill Opportunity Center in Chattanooga will host a community hiring event with ElwoodStaffing on Wednesday, June 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Opportunity Center, located next to the Goodwill store at 7601 East Brainerd Road, will welcome job seekers to take advantage of on-site opportunities and support.
Available positions include:
- Warehouse associates (first shift): $15 an hour
- Machine operators:12-hour shifts (8 a.m. to 8 p.m. or 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.); production or machine operator experience preferred but not required; $17 to $17.50 an hour
- Lab technicians: 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. shift; experience preferred, but candidates with strong computer skills and data measurement/recording experience will be considered; $19 an hour
- Structural steel fabricators (first shift): 10 or more years of structural steel fabrication/welding experience required; $25 an hour
