Andrew's Success

Andrew Pakkianathan was looking for a job after being laid off. While shopping at the East Brainerd Goodwill store, he saw the sign for the Goodwill Opportunity Center and walked in to see what the OC had to offer. Andrew was ready for a change and decided he would like to find a job in banking/finance.

Goodwill's Opportunity Center Manager helped Andrew with his resume, My Career Advisor, and sent him lists of jobs in the industry he was interested in. Andrew landed a position with True North Advisors at Raymond James as a Client Service Associate. He supports clients and financial advisors to ensure a seamless wealth management experience.

Dalton Emerging Leaders

Introducing our newest Emerging Leaders Institute graduates! This cohort was celebrated earlier today with a ceremony marking their completion of our ELI program. After six sessions filled with plenty of challenging material, it's safe to say each of these individuals is even better equipped to serve the Greater Dalton area and beyond. This was a great group, and it's been an honor growing with each of them throughout the program. We'll see you all in LDW soon, right? Shoutout to Dr. Stephani Womack, Gita Harden, and Lynn Osborne for keeping this ship sailing smoothly, plus the many, many volunteers it takes to pull it off.
