Community Services

In addition to our traditional employment and training programs, Chattanooga Goodwill Industries offers programs that serve people throughout our community.

Through the Health Equipment Link Program (HELPs), Goodwill collects, cleans and refurbishes new and used durable medical equipment such as walkers, crutches, wheelchairs and hospital beds. The equipment is provided free of charge to people in the community who are unable to purchase these necessities for themselves. More than 5,300 people in Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia have received the medical equipment they needed from Goodwill HELPs since the program began in May 2000. If you or someone you know needs equipment or if you would like to donate equipment, please call the HELPs program at (423)629-2501, ext. 314, or (866)272-2061.

Chattanooga Goodwill Industries also helps families and individuals in need of emergency clothing. Goodwill's clothing voucher program provides needed items through the 11 Chattanooga-area Goodwill retail stores to people who have experienced a fire or other misfortune or to those needing appropriate clothing for a job search.
